I’ve spent 5 years looking
for something worth living for
as good as Her;

And the only thing I’ve learned
is that nothing
has come close.

I would walk through fire
if it meant she was on
the other side.

The part of me that is still
in love with you
isn’t good enough;

Maybe you can fall
in love
with the new me;

And maybe I can fall
in love
with the new you.

But if it does happen,
I won’t let it fail.
Again.

It was difficult to accept the loss.
But it was impossible
to accept the loneliness.
