A Frustrated God

Throughout history, people have complained God is either doing too much or too little. But when God helps the perfect amount, he is not acknowledged at all. For some reason, we believe our accomplishments are our own, but our failures come from God.

It must be so frustrating for God. He gave us everything we needed, but we wanted more. He let us leave and pursue more, even though it hurt him very much. We came from God, so we ripped a part of God away from him. Still, he helped where he could, but people were still upset he interfered too much. He then gave us what we wanted: true autonomy; a disconnect from God’s grace. And now that he gave us what we wanted, we blame him for “letting evil happen.” He could stop it, but we won’t let him. Then we hate him for doing what we want.

Although a disconnect has occurred, like the prodigal son, we are always welcome to return to God’s grace. The only thing God wants is to be connected to his children. But a connection can only be created by a mutual understanding, and the world has proven how little they understand God; how little they understand themselves.
