This is the hope, akin to the ones likening themselves to survivors in a zombie apocalypse. My only fear is that the “gods” will make us peons all dead well before they fall.

than a peon.
We are so much more
than our selfs.
We're a story.
And even if our character dies,
that doesn't mean our story is over.
I may never read the last page, but
I will do my role
in making sure it gets written.
