Intelligence is the Child's toy;
Wisdom is the Sage's beard;
As the beard grows
The toy is forgotten
"For what does a Sage need with a toy?"
Says the Fool in dire need of a shave;
So it's thrown in the attic
Gathering dust and degradation
The Sage knows; the Child asks;
But when the Fool forgets
How to play with toys, he asks
How to remember his self
