Demon-speak, I hear it 
I hear it every day 
It's in the world 
But more frightening 
It's in my head 
& how convincing she is 
Devil food cake words so sweet 
& how convincing he is 
Ultimatum promises so terrifying 

So what to do? 
I asked the angels 
They're hypocrites 
Just demons of light 
Angel food cake just as sweet 
& just as corrupting; redemption 
& salvation are terrifying too 
The other side of the ultimatum 
God's "heads" to Satan's "tails"
