140 – What Makes A Poet?

Poetry is any word 
That holds more meaning 
Than itself - to be a Poet 
Your words must hold 
More than their meaning - 
They must hold your voice; 
And so, anyone who writes 
With the voice of their heart 
Is a Poet, but... 

If you wanna play the Poet game 
You're only a Poet 
When you've used your voice 
To create a billion poems 
And of those billion 
Maybe 2 or 3 are any good - 
No matter the praise you recieve 
You enjoy the ego boost 
But deep down you hate 
That they love the words you hate
