284 – Whining Wine Kid

Wading through red wine 
 'cause I'm outta white - 
 Red's good for getting drunk  
 but White hurts my tummy less; 

Should I really use words 
 like "tummy" when I talk 
 about day-drinking wine? 
 It makes me sound like a Kid 
 & everyone knows Kids can't; 

Can't drink or think nor can we 
 blink when devils prey & say 
 we are "less than worthless" 
 'cause that means we're weak 
      - for some reason - 
 & deserve all the pain we meet: 
 "Two for flinching" - they say; 
 
Kids shouldn't be drinking wine 
 but what else are we to do when 
 we are never allowed to whine?
