Most people become sheep; they follow those who become Shepherds. The Shepherds keep them safe, but often they fall asleep as they count their sheep. When they wake up they have the same name, but a different faces and a different flock. What does it mean? Is it a dream? In a way, but you’re not dreaming. You’re living the dream, but it’s real for you. When you die, the dream will continue. But so will you, when you wake up in another dream, just the same…not quite. Another dream with the same name, but different faces.
But something happens. You wake up again, but not in the fields with your sheep. You panic for a moment as you search, until you find your mirror. You seem surprised by those eyes – forgotten but familiar. Moments pass, you start to relax; you remember who you are. You realize they’re the dreamers eyes, and see the Shepherd and his sheep as cuddling in fleece and taking a sleep. You don’t mind though. Let the shepherd rest. You don’t mind watching the sheep in your eyes as he lies. Spending some time in the mirror’s eyes will paint the shepherds face and let you give him grace.
