What kind of life must you live to want to be held hostage?
What’s more important: form or function?

Humans are great! The best story tellers in the universe. It’s just that some humans use their life to tell a horrifying story.
A human is a dream. That’s the requirement. Not a purpose. A dream. And a story to make it happen.
The first statement about humans being the best story tellers is an older thought. I think that if aliens do exist, humans set themselves apart with how they can reconstruct reality with words.
But the second idea is relatively new. The thought behind it is that I don’t need a reason to live. There’s nothing I need to do. But no matter what I do, I’m making a story. And that story is enough of a reason to exist
Money makes things big. Drugs makes things weird. It’s still up to you to make something good.
I tried to lie my way to a future that didn’t exist.
I know less, but I understand more.
A proud parent is one that not only wants you to be better than them, but believes you will be.
I’m in an interesting place right now. I’m remembering how my universe works.
I’m The Kid who’s beyond his years. But no matter how many years I hold, I’m still a kid.
I’m good at giving up. If I thought you weren’t fit for this, I’d have stopped trying.
“They chose this.”
That may be true, but they never had a good choice to begin with. Just a better choice. But a better choice can still be just as bad in the end.
Don’t let people whose minds aren’t in a good place to shape you. Their perception of you matters less at the moment. Some people won’t like you no matter what. Some people won’t be helped no matter what.
The reality of the situation is that you’re young and learning. You’re gonna have to mess up to get better. Some people are understanding; some aren’t. Some will think they failed you. Some will think you failed them. Personally I think the right answer is just pieces didn’t line up, and there’s no fault in that.
Your first priority should be making yourself into the person you want to be, rather than submitting to the image others have for you. You understand your mind and how it works so much better than them, so try to trust yourself more.
It kinda sounds like they’re stuck in the slippery slope fallacy. Like “if I give an inch, they’ll take a mile” but they forget they own light-years.
If nothing else, I can die proud knowing I kept him alive. That’s the only accomplishment I need on my books.
Do you know what separates humans from gods?
Humans need time. So don’t forget to give yourself some. If you’re like me, you give your time to everyone but yourself.
Here’s the thing: I actually don’t care how you get there as long as you get there. There are better or worse ways, but in the end I’m graded on the final product, not the process. You’re the one who cares about the process, because that’s what you’re responsible for. So I’ll help you with your process, as long as you promise to help me with my destination. Deal?
Parallel stories.
Don’t be afraid of your anger. Don’t let it take you. You have to take it. Take it before it takes you. (Typical story, hobo Johnson).
