untitled note | 8 October 2020 | “Rampant Ignorance”

Intelligence is knowing facts and how to use formulas to get more facts. Wisdom is understanding the truth of those facts in context to the world around them.

An example is the rampant ignorance found in Christianity – I guess most religious institutions. They know the verses of their holy book, and they can parrot their doctrine perfectly, but they don’t actually understand what those words mean in relation to properly applying them to their lives and the truths of the world. They don’t find the truth in their teachings, but rather pervert their teachings to fit and defend their ignorant beliefs.

People don’t hate religion; people hate injustice and discrimination that hides behind a supposedly infallible God.

God may truly be infallible, but most Christians don’t believe in the God they claim to follow. They are their own God. They really believe they are somehow above criticism.
