The inner conflict you’re describing is itself a war. Your inner philosophy is in conflict with itself, and the opposing philosophies are battling for which one you will choose.
War is unavoidable, and complying with something you disagree with to avoid conflict will eventually lead to its own conflict and loss.
I truly wish I could be a pacifist, but eventually the value of your own life will come up to debate, and you’ll have to fight for its worth, or accept that your loss is acceptable for the whole.
