[A collection of untitled poems found in a single note]
The irony of our love story is that somehow we're both the "one who got away" for each other
*
I hear us in his songs
And he died when he couldn't get her
If I'm him, then I'll get you
Or die trying
*
If your voice is my favorite music
Then "I love you" is my favorite song.
Only your moans of pleasure come close;
A song of ecstasy
*
The only thing I've learned this year
Is that I'm not meant to have what I want
*
I've stopped looking for the perfect answer
It didn't exist.
Instead of what sounds right
I'll now choose what feels right
There are many things that I love
But you are my love
I don't know what my path looks like
But I know you are my destination
I don't know what you're going to do
But I decided what I am
My destination is you
And getting there is my plan
The last time I felt like this
Was when she left forever
I know what's coming
So just rip off the bandage
You're not going to choose me
And you're probably right
You deserve better
Someone who can keep on the lights
I've finally decided:
I'm going to marry you.
Maybe today, maybe tomorrow
Or maybe even a humdred years from now
But even a hundred years may not work
Maybe this life can't have "we"
But that won't stop me
I'll live a thousand lives until I reach you
