God does not expect perfection in us, for perfection is found through him. Telling an imperfect yet kind soul they need to repent will drive them further from God, and therefore perfection, than telling them that they are enough. To be human isn’t to be perfect. To be human is to strive for perfection.
If you believe that it is the goal for people to achieve perfection, and you yourself have not achieved perfection, then telling others to improve when you yourself need need to improve is hypocrisy and projection.
If you believe that perfection is found in God, travel the path of perfection, and prove it is the correct path by reaching your destination. Too many try to lead others when they have no idea what direction they’re going themselves.
