• People so vehemently defending democrats really don’t realize how little they care about them. Politicians and the wealthy see themselves as superior. If sacrificing you benefits them, then they’ll do it, and they’ll believe they’re right for doing it since they’re superior.
• People don’t like philosophy, because philosophy rarely has a yes/no answer. Typically the answer to every question is both yes and no. People see this as an illogical contradiction, but they don’t realize that the truth is hidden within the contradiction.
• Meditation is about simultaneously thinking about nothing & everything. Let your mind wander, and let your mind bring thoughts to you, rather than you bringing thoughts to your mind.
• The final stage of existence is occupying infinity.
• It’s so easy to hate. It’s so easy to wish for a cruel and painful death for someone who is cruel and caused so much pain. But this hate will only poison me. It’ll harden my heart, and distort my spirit. I need to remember: do not wish for pain on others; wish for the redemption of the fallen and corrupted. A punishment should only be given in the hope that it may lead to redemption. The punisher should enjoy the punishment as much as the one receiving it, i.e. neither should enjoy it. It is a burden, not a privilege. If you retaliate with a cruel punishment you’ve decided to matche their cruelty; if you find pleasure in punishing; if you feel no sympathy for them – you are no better than the cruel monster you claim needs to suffer. Hate corrupts the spirit, but cruelty kills it. Your body may be alive, but you are no longer you. Your soul is gone; the hate and cruelty take its place. You are no longer you. You’re an agent of hate and cruelty. An incarnation of suffering, both your own and others. You’ve gotten what you wanted, but it cost you your humanity. This is what it means to sell your soul to the devil. Hate is Satan writing the contract, and cruelty is you signing it.
