She used to make fun of me for being so oblivious and unaware of my surroundings
But she didn’t know how hyper aware I am of the world. I can’t turn it off. Every little vibration felt. Every flicker of light seen. Every whisper of the wind heard.
But when I was with her, suddenly all of that disappeared. Suddenly, that hyper awareness turned all its attention to her.
She didn’t realize I wasn’t oblivious to the world, just that she had become it.
