Do you practice religion?

What is Religion?

My personal interpretation of religion is that it is an attempt to conceptualize an infinite reality and explain it to inherently finite beings, where “God” is the personification of “Truth.”

Since it’s impossible for a finite being to fully comprehend infinity, each religion acts as a different perspective of the same infinite Truth. If this is the case, then no religion is absolutely right or absolutely wrong. They are all describing a portion of infinity from their own unique point of view.

Most religions teach the same concepts and principles, only with different words. Anyone who thinks their religion is correct, yet assumes that others are wrong – especially without studying them – doesn’t understand their own religious philosophy, and they are ignorant of the world around them.

It could be said that culture is just the result of a society’s experience with their localized portion of an infinite reality. In the same way that many languages are spoken, many religious are practiced. Even though each culture uses different words, they all communicate the same message.
