untitled note | 27 December 2020 | “no obligation”

You have no obligation to follow an unjust law. But ignoring an unjust law is just as cruel and evil as obeying an unjust law. If you decide a law is unjust and your only reaction is to ignore it, then you are propogating injustice as much as the law is.

If you decide a law is unjust, then you must devote your time to correcting the flaw that stains society with its hate and burdens society with its cruelty. Saying “this is wrong” but doing nothing to correct this wrongness is nothing more than your mouth disapproving while your body supports it. It is time coward’s way out to be on the “side of good” without actually doing any good.

Even worse, it is how evil hides in the hearts of neutrals. If you only challenge injustice when it directly affects you, then you are admitting that you care not for the world and its goodness, but only for yourself and your comfort.
