Why the world thinks they hate Christianity | 8 December 2020

There’s a lot of different reasons for different people.

A major one is that many are only Christian in name. So many “Christians” wear the title as a fashion statement rather than following a creed. The teachings of love act as a perfume to hide the stench of their cruelty and hypocrisy. They pick and choose buzz words out of context to validate their hate.

So many will start with the conclusion they want in their head, and then twist the words around it until the world becomes unrecognizable. They create a new reality in their minds where they are their own God, and their lies become their new truth. They’re basically gaslighting themselves into believing whatever they want, then hiding behind an omnipotent “God.”

People are incredible liars -so much so- they can even lie to their own selves. They can so fervently, so insistently lie to their self that they end up forgetting what the Truth was in the first place. They will repeat falsehoods to their self constantly, almost like a mantra, until their perception of reality bends around it.

A common thing I hear is “the only thing you need to do to be a Christian is believe in Christ.” I can see that argument, but none of them really do believe in him. If they truly did believe his words and sacrifice, then their lives would reflect the meaning of his words and sacrifice. Yet they are far from disciples of the teachings, meaning they do not devote their lives to understanding and emulating the true messages of the teachings.

Instead, Christianity has become a facade and fashion statement to be “popular” or superior to others. They don’t go to church every week because they desire growth. They go to church so that they can mark off a checklist of “now that I’ve done this, I’m a good person” without actually working towards being a good person.
