Sure, it hurt - I have a void to fill. 
And though it hurts, 
You did not break my heart. 
You kept saying how worried that 
You put me back into the abyss. 
To the contrary! 
You could not have set me down 
With more care or love. 

The first time I experienced this story, 
It felt as though I was pushed in;
Lost by the time I found my awareness. 
I wasn't ready for it, 

And so I died in that void. 
But you gave me an incredible gift: 
You let me experience that story again 
But with someone who I knew loved me. 
I knew I wouldn't be alone this time, 
And you taught me the lessons 
That even the universe failed to.
