Google – – What is the samsara in Buddhism? – – –
Buddhists recognise that there is a continuous cycle of life, death and rebirth. This cycle is known as samsara. The ultimate aim of Buddhist practice is to become free from samsara.

So… the whole point is to not be reincarnated? Where do new souls come from then?
Commenter 3:
Depends who you ask. Some view the soul as one entity that’s distributed among all living things. Escaping samsara could be seen as returning to the whole of the soul, where you experience eternity, so soul is never lost nor gained, just transformed. And my interpretation between a reincarnated soul vs a transformed soul would be a transformed soul doesn’t hold the karmic debt that a reincarnated soul has.
