Been watching a lot of random soccer games
Of teams or countries I vaguely know
Or even completely unaware of
And have been having a blast, or
At least more fun than I've had in awhile
Rooting for ones I randomly pick
Normally by favorite color
Or maybe if I like one of the names
Noncommittal reasons
Just to feel like I'm on a team again
And I have to admit
Pretending I'm on a team again
Even if only for 90 minutes at a time
Really helps with the loneliness
Whether or not "We" win or lose
P.S. “My team” (the yellow one) won!
Fun fact about me, though my favorite color changes often, Yellow was my first favorite color I can remember. Hence why I chose that team (I think their actual name is Villareal).
