[7 February 2018]

Misc. Notes

• Texture pack theory: are we really seeing the same thing as everyone else?

• Time and space are equivalent, just different representations/expressions of the same thing, like matter and energy. Possibly, our understanding/classification of space-time could be similar to Einstein’s e=mc^2 equation.

• Multiverse vs. Omniverse -> How they are different, and how they can simultaneously exist: Quick thoughts-> omniverse could be described as the threads that make up a rope, while multiverse would be multiple different ropes, each made up of these threads -> look to dbz and dbs for more answers/examples

• Time travel/time line possibilities: Linear/continuous vs. Circular/diverging/knotting vs. True reversion

• The personification and incarnation of insanity in gravity falls

• The ideal future -> the perfect next step in evolution -> digitized consciousness with physical avatars -> the physical world would almost become a video game -> it would also be the key to immortality -> to die, both the physical bodies and the digitized consciousness would have to be destroyed simultaneously -> if a body is destroyed, a new one can be made either artificially or naturally -> if the digital consciousness gets destroyed, then one universal trait/memery/ability that every physical body would possess would be the knowledge to reconstruct a system to contain the digital consciousness -> even if all life except one person died, as long as the one person existed, it could recreate the system and repopulate the earth -> the ultimate back-up system already exists -> tardegrades, microscopic and indestructible organisms, act as the ultimate back-up since they are a form of life that will exist until time t = ∞ -> due to the nature of life and its natural ability to instantaneously mutate, at some point between t = 0 and t = ∞, a combination of mutations will occur that will reconstruct the digitized consciousness

• My life is my art. I love to create settings where everyone is enjoying themselves. Actually, it goes a step further. Though I like it when everyone enjoys themselves because of me, I just like creating settings/scenarios/living set pieces. Often times I’ll purposely create an awkward setting just because I think it’s funny, and it’s interesting to see how people react. My experiences our uniquely mine, but that also limits me. Studying how I react to certain stimuli or scenarios gives me a lot of answers, but no matter how hard I try, I’ll have the biases of my unique combination of experiences. However, studying how someone else reacts allows me to experience something new and gain more knowledge based on the unique combination of experiences they have. I gain knowledge from 2 unique points of views that were shaped over 2 separate lifetimes, while only having to have lived one life, rather than two.

• Possibility Wave interference determining the reality of the universe theory

• The world always “makes sense.” The reason things make sense to us is because we recognize the pattern. Everything

• To be God is to create the pattern. To be physical is to experience the pattern. To be alive is to perceive the pattern. To be intelligent is to rearrange the pattern.

• If you’re only a good person when it is convenient for you, then you’re not a good person.

• My humility is arrogance in disguise

• God isn’t a being, but a window into our evolution

• Visual music ~> making music from visual data

• Allotted luck and spending it wisely

• The world isn’t beautiful. The world is. We make the world beautiful or ugly merely by observing it.

• I’m not a masochist, I just appreciate the sensation of discomfort. I don’t enjoy feeling discomfort, I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment by overcoming it.

• Humanity is art perfected

• Insanity is the state of being unpredictable. It is chaos taking form.

• Words do not work on those who reject reality

• Destiny/fate is something that we create. It is the social construct that defines everyone’s lives.

• Many destinies simultaneously control our lives. Free will is our ability to choose whichever destiny.

• The reason I have anxiety is because if I was ever comfortable for too long, I’d just let myself die.

Misc 2

• “sleeping slave”

• The parallels between Giorno’s entrance into the gang and his acquisition of the stand requiem

• The effect of false responsibilities

• How fantastical it feels to be truly present and observe something

• Observing art is a form of meditation.

• Was jotaro able to stop time from the very beginning? -> when star platinum catches the bullet in ep 1, maybe it didn’t move that fast, but stopped time just long enough to catch it, but not long enough for jotaro to realize time had stopped -> this was also the time that jotaro didn’t have control over his own stand

• Parallel universe are just universes where the speed of light is faster/slower

• How long would it take for you to realize you were dead? How many times could your memories replay before you realized you were in a loop.

• The absurdity that humans can create infinity without being able to truly comprehend it

• Unrestful souls created by surprise/unsatisfying deaths during high moments of emotional turmoil (leaky eye luca)

• The pros and cons of living day-to-day vs working towards a big goal

• My vision is covered in the streaks and blurs of other worlds’ possibilities. Only in confidence can I see the true path

• The difference between greed and envy is enjoying having something vs enjoying wanting something. Coincidently, gluttony is what happens when someone has both greed and envy for food

• Stand idea: shadow of stand users where they share time of control

• Stand automatically splits into amount of stand users in the room

• Automatic long distance stand that becomes your shadow and does recon

• Jojo is an interesting genre of horror where the viewer is given the ability to fight back through the main characters

• Fate/destiny is the sum of nature and nurture

• -Becoming an adult means trying to become a 4th dimensional while not quite getting there. We try to see through time, but I vision is obscured by all of the potential outcomes, making it impressive to see the true reality.
-A child accepts its existence, acting only in the present, and is the peak of 3rd dimensional beings. By not taking the past or future as deciding factors, children can maximize each individual moment

• Life is just a song; that’s why history repeats itself.

• Theory: Matter can share the the space with only parts of it being observed

• Every evil person and action is just an invitation for good to show itself

• People may be much more aware of gravitational pulls from other, much smaller sources (other people, objects) or even distant objects (other planets, people/things on the other side of the planet). (idea while watching “down” vsauce

• Is it possible to describe all forces through the curvature of space-time similar to gravity

• Eugenics is just lazy medicine. It’s what you get when a mathematician becomes a doctor. Why cure something when it’s faster, more efficient, and arguably better results to erase it? It makes sense to throw out something broken, but in the long run, it’s more beneficial to learn how to fix that broken thing since the new one could just as easily break.

Misc 3

• My decision making paradox

• If I’m going to commit to something, I’m going to commit 100%. I not going to be a good worker, I’m going to be the ideal worker.

• I think I’ve said this in another note, but I think statistic analysis and probability are somewhat absurd and funny. Probability is just a guess about a guess.

• Thought: In LoZ OoT, when link picks up the matter sword, he might not be moving to the future, but rather to a parallel universe

• Studying character reveals from the point of view of another character (i.e. Forgetting everything we know about the character and trying to figure out how we’d describe him from only the point of view of another character interacting with him) (inspired by jojo part 5, Abacchio meeting giorno + boat scene)

• Hypothesis: the possibility that anxiety is tied to an unknown sense or a hypersensitivity towards lesser known or felt energies or forces

• Knowledge is understanding stemming from facts while wisdom is understanding stemming from experience. To advance and evolve, we must turn wisdom into knowledge. (an example: we’ve known that rubbing 2 sticks together will make fire, but we didn’t really know why in the beginning – > this is wisdom. However, once we learned that friction creates heat which then creates fire, our wisdom turned into knowledge). Knowledge cannot exist without wisdom, but it has the potential of being much more valuable if it is complete. This is because you cannot teach wisdom, you must develop it with experience. However, knowledge is a much more refined and clear form of wisdom that can be easily passed on. Knowledge is something you can acquire from a book, while wisdom can only be acquired from experiencing the world and reality.

• Thoughts on original sin ->
   1. we may be covered with original sin, but our core is goodness.
   2. Original sin is a protective cover. It’s a defense mechanism we developed due to the burden of knowledge and wisdom.
   3. We learned that evil can exist, so we made it a part of us. How can we protect ourselves if we don’t know what we’re defending ourselves from?
   4. It wasn’t a sin to eat from the tree of knowledge and wisdom, it was merely a warning. He did not withhold these powerful tools out of arrogance or greed, but out of love for humanity. He knew the pain that would come from using these tools.
   5. We were not punished for taking knowledge and wisdom and using them to benefit ourselves, the pain and suffering are just unavoidable consequences.
   6. Original sin creates a barrier between our goodness and the outside world. The more we feed our sin, the more likely we are to survive an outside attack. But this comes at a cost. If we allow the barrier to behind to thick, we risk isolating ourselves from the world around us. In a sense, we separate the goodness in ourselves from the world. This leaves a void where our goodness once was. This void is what we consider evil.
   7. Evil cannot be destroyed since it is nothing, the empty space left behind. The way to remove evil from the world is to fill it with overwhelming good. If evil is used in an attempt to destroy evil, then all that is left to “fill the void” is more of the void
   8. The longer our goodness is isolated, the weaker it gets. Sin feeds off of our weakened goodness, consuming it until it takes control. Once all of our goodness is consumed, we truly and absolutely become isolated, unable to connect to the world in any sort of way or form. This absolute isolation is what we’d call hell. The reason one can never escape hell is that to escape isolation, you must erase the barrier that is sin. However, if sin has fully consumed you and your goodness, erasing your sin means erasing your existence.
   9. Original sin is to our souls as clothes are to our bodies

Misc. 4

• Courage is one’s ability to defy fate and logic

• The universe is just as lazy as any person. That’s why everything is constantly looking for a lower energy state. A simple example is that a ball wants to roll down a hill to lower its potential energy. But on a grander scale, the reason for entropy. Entropy is basically the randomness of particles. Random particles take less energy to maintain than ordered particles

• Evil nucleates from good. Something that has a high potential to be good also has a high potential to be evil. To be good means to recognize both possibilities and choose good for the sake of good, even if evil is more beneficial to one’s self (which in the short term tends to be the case)

• Viewing your life from a 3rd person point of view in real time

• The tactility of music and how it physically feels in different parts of your body
   1. Low sounds rumble through your body and feels like vibrations
   2. High sounds cut through your body. You especially feel this sharp cutting feeling in your ears and face
   3. The base drum has a feeling like a rubber mallet hitting your chest
   4. The ability to use this physical feedback to much sounds and voices with your own voice

• Using groupings of ideas to figure out why you like some things but not others
   1. Example grouping 1 [Parham, case, college, taco bell]
   2. EG2 [interaction, friends, strangers, smoking, drinking, talking]
   3. Different combinations of these ideas affect how much you like certain activities/ideas/actions

• I know who I am. I’m whoever I want to be at any given time. I’m not limited by false notions of what I think I am.

• Confidence and resolve are things that we can lend to others (think kamina from TTGL and Giorno from JJBA).
    1. The ability to share these things is what makes a good leader

• If you don’t know something, you’re probably not ready for it. It’s our duty to prove ourselves by taking the knowledge and showing that we can handle its power and influence.

• Secrets and hidden knowledge are the strings that ties everyone’s individualistic worldview together

• How the parable of the talents applies to the meaning of life

• Reiki may have a connection to blood and how it flows through our body. Could also explain why breathing plays such a significant role.

• I’m glad that evil exists, so that it can do what I never want to do, but needs to be done

• True love is when two individual stories happen to overlap perfectly together (inspired by episode 1 of Clannad)

• You control fate as much as fate controls you

• Increasing the organization of nature increases the magnitude of the vector of influence it can have. However, it is up to us to decide its direction of influence (e.g. increasing our understanding could provide us with another energy source, but it could also be used to make more devastating nuclear weapon. It is up to us to decide how we use our knowledge)

Misc 5

• Noticing your flaws isn’t bad. It let’s you improve on them. However, it’s important to never forget your good qualities. It’s ok to praise yourself for things you excel at. It acts as encouragement as to what your flaws will eventually look like once you work hard enough.
