This is a little PSA I like to do every so often for fans of Cowboy Bebop: Spike dying at the end is actually the happy ending for him.
He already lived a full Life (which he chose to trade away for nothing) & lost the Love of his Life. After Julia – he was a dead man walking, killing leftover Time he didn’t want.
So let him die. Don’t pretend it’s inconclusive N the end, nor pretend that he lives N§ide of your head. Leave him dead & gone – buried beneath Eternity’s Tree – let only his spirit live on N§ide of the ØИΣ §oul öF Jazz where he can finally feel free from that Weight.
