Painting Poetry

1 – When We’re Not Looking

Time has its way
Painting a new reflection
In the mirror
When we're not looking

Ironic how our
Prettiest self-portraits are
Always painted
When we're not looking

77 – Still Lifes

In racecar stars as they race
Time & Space - that's one place
To awake; instead I stand still -
The same brush still painting
Still lifes of still valleys
Reaped by still scythes when
I should be painting seeds to sow
& to water daily & to watch grow

There's so much & more
So why here?
I've been here before
So why again?
On this messy room floor
So why wake up?
Infinity in the skies
So why these eyes?

128 – Painting White Walls

Pulling my selfs & my hair
Standing minds standing still
In place, one space - I Am
Still all names in me - Infinity
Only one in Time sees

So I feel them
inside-out
Rise, sit
Gossiping ghosts creep
My garden gnome's gone
Painting white walls
