I don’t see a problem with it[an AI Art competition]. The Human part of the Art competition is formed from how they choose words to manipulate the colors & shapes. AI art isn’t intrinsically bad. It’s a powerful tool that will revolutionize the entire world, including Art. The problem right now is that it seems like artists haven’t figured out how to incorporate it into their style and are a bit intimidated by it, while non-art executives think they can save a buck by replacing people with a program.

Oblivious to the fact that the fastest car in the universe will get you no where if you don’t have a good driver. Once we figure out exactly how to incorporate A.I. properly into our lifestyles, and after all the dreamers & doomsdayers come back to earth, I believe we’ll see how A.I. -no matter the application- isn’t a human replacement, just an extension of Human Consciousness.
