“God is dead” is a funny phrase. Until one experiences Death, it’s an incomprehensible experience for Life, as Death is an Absence of Life.
I forget the philosopher, but one said something along the lines “why would I fear Death when I cannot exist while my Death exists?”
So the way I view it, is that “God is Dead” isn’t a statement on what God is, but rather a definition of God. Life is anything that can come to an end, whether it be biological or metaphorical. A person dies, but so does a closed book that is never again opened & read (Art is dead – we breath life into the dead words by Projecting our meaning born from our understanding & perspective). But by claiming “God is Dead,” it defines God as something that is unending.
However, you could take it even a step further & view it as a challenge. If by definition, God is “Dead” – then the only way God ceases being God is by bringing whatever God is to Life, as then that means by definition of Life, “God” is now able to come to an end, thus ceases being an endless definition of existence.
There’s an ironic Paradox that, since “God” is “Dead”, then the only way to “Kill God” would be bringing God to Life, thus forcing an “unending being” to experience an end. ⚡️
