Another day

Another donation

Plasma, that is

Left arm, red ring

I’ve gotten pretty used to the process

So getting started goes smoothly

& the stress from uncertainty

Has gradually faded away

There’s still a slight pinch

When I’m pricked with the needle

Yet, the anxiety of worrying whether

The prick in my arm is normal

Or if I’m moving too fast

& tearing apart my artery

But now I know what feels normal

So, though the feeling isn’t necessarily good

I still know that the feeling I’m feeling

Means it’s going well
