No Ring (Paper Towels)

I’m annoyed

To help pump blood

So now I’m squeezing paper towels

It sucks

This whole donation has been

Annoyance after annoyance

I haven’t donated in a week

Because they deferred my donation

Not because anything I did

Just so they could tell me I earned a bonus

But instead of sending me a message

I had to call in and find out

Unfortunately

This place rarely answer their phones

Unprofessional

I started calling Sunday

They finally picked up on Wednesday

Whatever

Well, I’m finally here today

Thursday

And met with more annoyance

First, I couldn’t schedule an appointment

Since my donation was still on hold

Until I came in and told them to take it off

Since they wouldn’t do it over the phone

But what was really annoying

Is since I didn’t have an appointment

I had thought I needed to sign in

They said I didn’t

Then 15 minutes later

Someone else says I need to

Annoyance

Whatever

After a little bit

I get told to scan in

But the iPad I’m supposed to scan in

Is flipped to face the wrong way

So I flip it so I could actually use it

To have them look over and worriedly tell me

“Oh, no, don’t ever touch that”

I said sorry

But then I got a little peeved

Like

Do your fucking job

What the fuck am I supposed to do?

Whatever…

The one sorta silver lining

I haven’t been able to eat the past few days

And I’ve lost about 5 pounds

Bringing me below 150lb

Which is one of the cut-offs

For how much I need to donate

Above 150 lbs, I donate around 840mL of plasma

But at this weight

I only need to give 700mL

To earn the same amount

So it’s more bang for my blood
