Shared Unit / Two-Way Mirror

“You aren’t your thoughts”

Says the therapist, who

Then sends you to the psych ward

When you tell them

You don’t believe

The voice in your head

That tells you your thoughts

Actually belongs to you

Because even though

I’m following their logic

They’re just too afraid to admit

They were unaware their mind is a shared unit

What’s funny

Is that it doesn’t matter

Whatever you say about

The voice in your head

Because even when I take ownership

& say that I enjoy talking to myself

They look at me just as crazy

Because they’re afraid to admit

They’re looking into a two-way mirror
