What so many people don’t understand
Even those rainbow brains who claim they do
Is that Art is living – it’s alive, it’s own being
That communicates with us through feeling
& some people may just barely grasp the concept
Yet, they still feel like Art belongs to them
That all they have to do to experience Art
Is merely look at some colors & shapes
Or listen to some ordered vibrations
But a conversation isn’t one way
If the Art doesn’t want to talk to you, then
No matter what stimulus you put in front of you
You will feel nothing
…
That was my long preamble
To get to the thought the inspired this
Which is in criticism of AI Art
Not that I think AI Art is inherently bad
Moreso those who don’t understand its utility
& instead see AI as a replacement for artists
Because if an infinite bunch of dumb monkeys
Can eventually write Shakespeare, then clearly
A smart computer can do it faster than Shakespeare
But that’s the thing
It’s not just about the words that are written
Because no matter how brilliant a book may be
You’ll never feel it reading you back
