I think the scariest thing about AI
That I don’t really hear people mention
Is the impact it’ll have on critical thinking
AI makes things easier – which is good
When those who know how to think
Can’t keep up with the flow of info
As in when a smart person knows
How to solve a certain equation
But has to solve that equation
100s or 1000s of times – sure
Let some mindless box that
We tricked into thinking
Solve the menial in between
It’s like a car – it gets us there faster
Though, this is where my fear comes in
Since if we give wheels to our children
Before we ever teach them how to walk
Eventually we’ll form a society of people
Who won’t be able to stand on their own
