I think what’s funny about
People who criticize Eminem
Especially Christians
About him being a bad influence
Is that he’s actually the reason why
I recognize my self as a Christian
Because I was so embarrassed
By how Christians act
That I didn’t want my name in association
While still believing in the philosophy
Just not in the people – growing up
I legit thought religion was a joke
Because those most vocal about it
Were the worst examples of their religion
It sounded fake coming from them, but
Of all the people to make believe it was real
It was Eminem, ironically, because
I didn’t think someone could get away with
The awful things that he does say
If God didn’t want the world to hear HIM
& even more important beyond just believing
Eminem taught me not to give a shit about
Whatever shitty people think about you
So I stopped caring what anyone thought
Because it’s more important I like my self than
Any other’s opinion of what they don’t understand
