61 Minutes For My 61st Donation

Donating today

Left arm, yellow ring, green 2, booth 3, machine 01

And for once

My appointment is pretty much on schedule

I only waited about 8 minutes to check-in

And I’m already in a bed by 15 after

Though, it does seem pretty busy back here

So we’ll just have to wait & see

How long it takes them to actually prick me

Color me surprised

Because pretty much right away

Someone came over to start setting up my machine

It’s 20 after now, so I hope to be pumping but 10:25

And with how quickly I normally get through this

I might actually be done within the hour

I’ll still probably be out about 10-15 after

Since I’ll have to wait to get unplugged

But even still

This will be one of the few times

Where the whole process was done in about an hour

Though

That is only if it continues at this pace

Pumping at half-past 10, so

5 minutes after my hoped start time, but

Not really too much of a delay

I still think my 10-15 after 11 ETA still applies

Something that’s a little annoying

Is the holdover from last week

That the wifi isn’t working here

You can connect to the network

Though not to the actual internet

And for some reason, the back of

The building doesn’t get good cell coverage

Like, I still have bars, but nothing works

Even while writing this

I keep getting notifications from the app

Telling me that my drafts can’t be saved

And that they’re only stored locally

So even though I’m not worried about losing this

I technically could if the app randomly closed

Without having saved any of my progress

So far it looks like my timing is right

It’s been 15 minutes since I started

And I’m past halfway: 440/694, so

I’ll definitely be done pumping before 11

Giving me plenty of time to get unplugged & out

10:54, and just finished: 696/694

I guess I’m an overachiever

So, now comes the part

Where they fill me up with saline

Before unplugging me & letting me go

Out of the door at 11:04

And since I technically showed up about 3 minutes late

I was in & out in just over an hour

Which, funnily enough, happens to be my 61st donation
