The thing that sucks about “cancel culture” is that it’s no longer just a method to deplatform truly toxic personalities from spreading misinformation. It’s become about little people getting a taste of power, then becoming so infatuated with the sensation of the kill, that they use any excuse to pull the trigger.
It’s no longer about keeping discourse civil & productive; it’s about ruining someone else’s life because we feel miserable with our own.
