I think my problem with most people isn’t about their beliefs, but rather their inflexibility when it comes to expanding them. I could use flat-earthers as an example, but I’m going to choose a more controversial example since basically everyone with a brain not poisoned by irony understands the world is round. So I’m not gonna tackle that, but rather the “Creationism vs Evolution” debate, because I think both sides are ignorant to their ignorance.
What I mean is that so many people believe that it’s an “either/or” type of thing, when it’s so easy to imagine a reality where both explanations work together in a complimentary way rather than a contradictory one. I’ll give two easily acceptable realities that encompass both ideas if you actually have an open mind:
The first: God is responsible for Evolution, i.e. God created Evolution. In God’s infinite vision & power, God was able to create the mechanism for Evolution to occur. God set off the big-bang then never touched reality after that, but God’s influence had planned for Life to occur as a result of the inspiration of God. So God created all Life in the sense that God had planned for all Life to exist as a result of God’s good design, but God did not specifically craft each individual being and place them ready made on Earth.
The Second: in addition to the general “creationism” perspective, I’ll add in the “Earth is only 6000 years old” idea the fundamentalists often subscribe to. Personally, with all the evidence that God provides for us, this theory doesn’t make sense. We live in a universe that appears to be billions of years old. But that’s the thing, we only know that it appears to be that old. What I mean is Science already has an explanation for both this & God: Simulation Theory. Sure, Evolution appears to have occurred based on the evidence, but maybe the “6000 years old” is actually how long the simulation has actually been going on. Everything prior to 6000 years ago was just simulated, or dare I say, “created” by Whatever entity that designed & began the simulation.

“God” could easily just be a bigger scientist, but Scientists don’t seem to want to accept themself even though it’s pretty common knowledge at this point that “we’re made in the image of God.”
