Random Thought #72: Dead N’ternet Theory

There’s this trend where people will program “bots” to make comments on the internet, either having a pre-maid spam message, or being a little more sophisticated like nearly copying one of the other popular comments to sound more human. Either way, people have caught on. A common call-out I see is “ok, bot.” But I realize I’m seeing it everywhere, even when the original comment seems like a genuine human. Then I realize, “oh, this ‘ok, bot’ comment is probably a bot.” Either that, or the person is so brain dead, it might as well be a robot with their mindless posting.
