It’s hard to approach people as an outsider, because the insiders value different things, so their words reflect different realities than my own.
People often see words like “weird” or “crazy” as an insult or an attempt to point out a flaw, when in my reality, when I call you those things, I’m not trying to be mean, I’m more saying, “there’s somebody else like me…finally.”
