Random Thought #89: Sgt. Pepper’s Silver Medal

I’ve been thinking a lot about silver & gold lately, mainly because I just got a silver medal. Even though I think my team deserved to get gold, I wasn’t really upset. We weren’t really competing to win, just get experience. Even beforehand, I joked about how I prefer silver over gold anyways. And that’s what got me thinking about silver & gold, about why I prefer silver to gold, and the differences between the people who prefer one to the other. Because if you think about it, choosing between “gold or silver” is basically like asking “do you prefer salt or pepper.” Most people like both, but I feel like everyone has a preference. Personally, I’m a pepper guy.
