I think one of the reasons atheism is more common these days is that the modern gods tend to be more concerned with consent compared to the old gods. Look at Zeus vs the Christian God. One fucks anything that moves, while the other claims to have created Free Will. It’s hard to deny God when He rapes you, but it’s easy to ignore knocking on the door and just pretend it was the wind.
That’s the thing that many modern atheists don’t take into account. They think, “if God is so powerful, He should be able to knock down my walls.” But the thing is, God is powerful enough to knock down your walls. It’s God’s desire for a genuine mutual connection which keeps Him at bay. You have to willingly open your self up to God in order to experience Him.
God wants a relationship, yet is committed to His promise of Free Will. If Ü want a world without God, then God will create small one where He is non-apparent. Then you treat anyone who chose to encounter God as a fool, when the only difference between the 2 öF Ü is whether you chose to make Love real or let it remain a figment of your imagination.
