I keep getting scam calls. Something about Medicare, even though I’m only 30. Fucking bastards trying to trick old, senile grandparents who don’t recognize the AI voice. They send a robot in first, programmed to lie, named “Skylar” or something. Then, if you answer “yes” to having Medicare, they send you to a real person.
I got fed up this time & decided to go through the process to speak to a real person rather than hang up. They transfer me over to some guy. I think he started to say his name was “Dave,” but I’m not quite sure. I started shouting over him that I “don’t give a fuck who you are.” He sounded Indian (red dot, not “ah-ah-ah”), so he was probably lying about his name (fun fact, one of the most common call-center names was “Tiger” during the height of his fame – ironic, as you’ll see).
Whatever, let’s get back to the story. Dave didn’t take too kindly to me. After my initial, “I don’t give a fuck who you are,” I followed up with, “why do you and your robot named Skylar keep calling me?” To which he responded with a frustrated giggle that sounds like a grimace, followed by, “you fucking nigger.” Cool.
