Random Thought #209: Turtles & Trains (§pecial N’terests)

There’s a lot of answers to the question, “why Autism?” However, my favorite 1 is this:

To prove how much God loves the world, one special interest at a time.

What I’m describing is what I’ll call “Autistic Love.” Even if you haven’t put this experience into words, everyone knows the stereotype about how Autists absolutely adore trains. Though, to be clear, it is a stereotype -I personally don’t have that kind of infatuation with trains- though I would argue it’s the clearest example of “Autistic Love.” One of my favorite quotes by someone named Alpharad goes something like:

“Not everyone who has Autism loves trains, but everyone who loves trains has autism.”

And funnily enough, I kinda have a secondary Love for trains because of it. I see how much something that doesn’t really mean much to me means to someone else like me, and it makes me believe. Trains don’t represent Love, but the potential to be loved. Trains are just doing their thing, yet someone’s greatest moment in their Life are the seconds they you pass by.

I just wanna find my train…

[I think I veered off from where I intended to go, but, oh well…]
