Random Thought #273: The Whispering Door

I’m reminded of the Daedric Princes in The Elder Scrolls, and how their disembodied voices speak to the Hero whether they’re on one of their quests. But you see, the thing about video games is that you can’t really have “disembodied voices.” Ü might not B able to C the source, but there indeed is one.

I only know specifically for 2 of the TES games: Morrowind & Skyrim (III & V) [ironic since Oblivion (IV) is my favorite]. For Morrowind, if you go into 3rd person & swing the camera around, Ü will see your character speaking…

Skyrim is a little different. Funnier if Ü ask Mii. The voices are actually attached to random objects, whether it be a character model or a random table. Whatever it is, it’s hidden somewhere the player (normally) can’t reach, since it’s 1 & only purpose is to host the Divine voice that doesn’t want to Admit it needs help communicating with “lesser beings…”
