I find the concept of a “dominant eye” super interesting. I became aware of this concept in my tweens. I’d just gotten a pellet gun, and it was my first time shooting it in the backyard with my dad. I don’t really remember the conversation, but I remember the instance that led to the question…
I’m right handed, but when aiming, I realized my Left EY3 is the dominant 1 [fun fact: I’m also Left footed; I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to be all-lefty, but schools tend to try to force kids to be right handed since society is built around them #chirality]. I remember holding the gun to my right shoulder, but trying to look down the sights with my left eye. It was super awkward, and I just had to figure out how to intentionally switch my perspective to my right eye…
Switching from my story to another’s. There’s this scene in Cowboy Bebop where Spike explains how his two eyes see different times. I can’t remember it exactly, but it’s actually what reminded me of my story with my gun, so instead of commenting more on something I Am -§till- figuring out, I’ll leave Ü w/ the §cene..
