Ronaldo worked his ass off to become one of the greatest footballers, whereas Messi was born one. And I’m not saying Messi didn’t have to work, nor that Ronaldo doesn’t have natural skill. The way I see it, Ronaldo would have become one of the greatest athletes no matter what sport he chose. His athleticism, work ethic, and competitiveness are world-class. Ronaldo is a world-class athlete, and he chose football.
The difference with Messi is that football chose him.
