GAME OVER: Continue? [Yes] | No

GAME OVER|dead clocks reset
Time for some new beginnings
After losing, now I'm winning
Having relinquished my sinning
& quitting the bottle I used to
Throttle like a lot full of cars
& bars, causing trouble for Me as
I'm treading barefoot on rubble so
Rugged like stubble on my mug, 'til
I try to unwind like Clocks on walks
Who talk about the Neighborhood Watch
& Whö botched it like missing a stitch
While I crochet socks with fuzzy stalks

  1. Noah, your poem skillfully captures personal transformation with vivid imagery and rhythmic flow. The metaphors, like “treading barefoot on rubble” and “crocheting socks with fuzzy stalks,” add depth to the narrative, making it a compelling piece.

    1. I don’t know how I missed this, but I really enjoyed your analysis! Rhythmic flow is what I typically try to focus on, so I’m happy to hear it’s what stands out! Although sometimes I do let the flow take the wheel a bit too much, so I’m also glad the imagery/metaphors happened to fall in line with my timing & rhyming while still making sense, haha
