Some Teenager’s Room (The Kids Are[‘nt] Alright)

When walking into some teenager’s room
It reeks of weed mixed with Geek-kid seed
And so basically, it smells like Teen Spirit
Because whether he's found during day or night
Guests are always greeted, with this same sight
Waking and baking, then begins rubbing his ween
Masturbation marathon, no headphones, volume up
His windows, open, didn't care if heard & seen
Since it's his rebellion, against the machine
’til losing steam, covering covers with cream
Can’t remember the last time sheets were clean
And whenever someone tries helping, he acts mean
That’s just how it be when you’re lost, N between
One’s foolish Youth and the Ünderstanding of Truth
That's found around the world within “Me,” gaining
New Knowledge & becoming like a leather-bound book
By figuring out: what Life means & Whö I Am really
So, just give them a break, the Kids are alright
Except when their individuality ignites a fight
Or flight, away from their true selfs, unfair
As a genuine connection is rare, not to mention
They’re right about our plight, how reality bites
So, give them Time, they need some for chewing
As though Life’s meal might not go down easy
Just like food, turning into #2 inside You
You, too, will make it all the way through
To the otherside of a high school apocalypse
Then, encountering so bright a revealing light
Illuminating angsty nights and adolescent fright
Now Kids, having finally overcome Life’s adversity
Are becoming Whö they had always been destined to be

Walking into some teenager’s room

It reeks of weed and a Geek-kid’s seed

And so basically, it smells like Teen Spirit

Because whether found during day or night

Guests are always greeted with this same sight

Waking and baking, then begins rubbing his ween

Masturbation marathon, no headphones, volume up

His windows, open, doesn’t care if heard or seen

Since this be his rebellion against the machine

’til losing steam, covering covers with cream

Can’t remember the last time sheets were clean

& whenever someone tries helping,  he acts mean

That’s just how it is when you’re lost, N between

One’s foolish Youth and the Ünderstanding of Truth

Found within the world that’s around “Me,” gaining

New Knowledge, like you’re a leather-bound book

While you’re  figuring out what Life really means

So, just give them a break, the Kids are alright

Besides when his individuality ignites a fight

Or flight, away from their true selfs,  unfair

To both,  as genuine connection is rare, besides

They’re right about our plight, how reality bites

So give them Time, they need to chew their food

As though Life’s meal might not go down easy

Just like the food turning into #2 inside You

You, too, will make it all the way through

To the otherside of a high school apocalypse

Then, encountering so bright a revealing light

Illuminating angsty nights and adolescent fright

Now Kids, having finally overcome Life’s adversity

Are becoming Whö they were always destined to be

        1. Now that you put that idea in my head, I definitely wanna try it now. Though I know it’s gonna be tricky, especially since I went to an all boys high school, so I missed a lot of first-hand experience with girl angst. I’ll probably have to binge listen to a lot of Taylor Swift & watch a Twilight marathon if I wanna get it right, haha
