Something strange my body dies
Is that when I’m low on energy
It’ll start taking away senses
Starting with my sense of smell
Followed by my ability to taste
Then the colors in the world start to fade
Soon follows the music
I can no longer hear
I’m lost in a gray world full of noise
That has lost the flavor of Life
I’m realizing now
I’m describing Depression
It amazes me how universal the experience of depression truly is, yet when we’re stuck in the fog, we feel so alone.

There really is an irony to this universal feeling of isolation. You’d think it’d be easy enough as matching up lonely people, but unfortunately, depression isn’t as simple as that.
