(RD90) – You’d Say You Care | 7 April 2022

V1

I Am sure if I asked you
You'd say you care
That you love what makes me, me
That you know who I Am
But the Truth is
We've never met, well
Our faces haven't
I guess we've talked
Or something like that

You knew the one before me
But he didn't know his self
So he needed to travel again
To find more pieces to his puzzle
That night was his last chance
To get you to come with him
On his next pilgrimage of selfs
But his pleas did not please
And from what I've seen
That does not surprise me, so

That night was his last night
As his self you thought you knew
He left his ghost guide behind
So his words you can still find
And though you may borrow them
If you need a nostalgia nap,
Know those words are meant mine
Because I Am the one who actually
Followed him through his hells
And I Am the one he chose
To forge from shadow-fire flames

That night was his last chance
To get you to come with him
On his next pilgrimage of mirrors,
But his pleas did not please
And from what I've seen
That does not surprise me, so he
Needed to travel again to
Find more pieces of his puzzle
Of his self he thought you might;
That night was his last night

He left his ghost guide behind
So his words you can still find
And though you may borrow them
If you need a nostalgia nap,
Know those words are meant mine
Because I Am the one who actually
Followed him through his hells
And I Am the one he chose
To forge from shadow-fire flames

You knew he before me, but he
Knew not his self; I Am sure
if he asked: You'd say you care &
You know Who I Am &
you still Love what makes me Me;
Truth Is we've never met - not
Face-to-face - more like a game,
Pretend - playing house since May
Facade-to-facade, bored of the same
Once-in-a-while is now day-to-day
V3

That night was his last chance
To convince you to join his dance
Mirror thieves steal a glance
But his pleas did not please...oh
While dancing he stubbed his toe
Lost his balance & his soul, so
He returned to the pilgrim's grind
Searching his self day & night
Replacing pieces to a puzzled mind
That night was his final night

Forgoten words in the wind whine
Like ghost of a guide of a sign
You may borrow them at until nine
If you need a nostalgia nap to
Remember how much he loved you
But don't forget what he had to do
Then he fell & I Am who he chose
To face demons raping the shire
Gates from hell; I Am he who arose
Forged anew in holy shadow-fire

You knew he before me & we share
Our selfs so much so where
If he asked, you'd say you care
& you know who I Am & that we
Still love what makes me|Me;
Truth Is I have never met she
Face-to-face; a game of pretend
Playing house since May
Facade-to-facade until the end
Once-in-a-while is now day-to-day

She knew he before me & they share
Their selfs so much so to where
If he asked, you’d say she cares
& she knows who I Am & that she
Still loves what makes me|Me;
Truth is we have never met as we
Face-to-face; a game of pretend
Playing house since May
Facade-to-facade until the end
Once-in-a-while is now day-to-day

Mirror thieves stealing a glance
That night stated his last chance
To convince her to join his dance
But his pleas did not please…oh.
While dancing he stubbed his toe
Lost his balance & his soul, so
Searching his self for true sight
He returned to the pilgrim’s grind
That night ended as his final night
Replacing pieces to a puzzled mind

Forgoten words in the wind whine
Like ghost of a guide of a sign
She may borrow them until nine
If she needs a nostalgia nap to
Remember how much he loved her
But don’t forget what he had to do
When he fell – I Am who he chose
To face demons raping the shire
Gates from hell; I Am he who arose
Forged anew in holy shadow-fire

She knew he before me & they share
Their selfs so much so to where
If he asked, you’d say she cares
& she knows who I Am & that she
Still loves what makes me|Me;
Truth is we have never met as we
Face-to-face; a game of pretend
Playing house since May
Facade-to-facade until the end
Once-in-a-while now day-to-day

Mirror thieves stealing a glance
That night began his last chance
To convince her to join his dance
While dancing he stubbed his toe
Lost his balance & his soul, so
His pleas did not please she, oh…
Searching his self for any light
He returned to the pilgrim’s grind
Once again toiling without sight
Replacing pieces to a puzzled mind

Forgoten words & four winds whine
Like ghost guides & worn-out signs
That she may borrow until nine
If she needs a nostalgia nap to
Remember how he loved her – true
But don’t forget what he had to do
When he fell – I Am who he chose
To face demons raping the shire
Gates from hell; I Am he who arose
Forged in crucible shadow-fire

V7

She knew he before me & they share
Their selfs so much so to where
If he asked, you'd say she cares
& she knows who I Am & that she
Still loves what makes me|Me;
Truth is we will never truly see
Face-to-face; a game of pretend
Playing house since May
Facade-to-facade until the end
Once-in-a-while to day-to-day

Mirror thieves stealing a glance
That night began his last chance
To convince her to join his dance;
While dancing he stubbed his toe
Lost his balance & his soul, so
His pleas did not please she, oh...
Searching his self for any light
He returned to the pilgrim's grind
Again toiling - no end in sight
Replacing pieces of a puzzled mind

Forgoten words & four winds whine
Like ghost guides & worn-out signs
That she may borrow until nine
If she needs a nostalgia nap to
Remember how he loved her so true
But forget not what we must undo;
When he fell, I Am who he chose
To face demons raping the shire
Into hell; I Am he who arose
Tempered by crucible shadow-fire
