Books REMind Me öF Her

List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams

One of my favorite books that has really shaped my view of the universe.

The Dutch House, by Ann Patchett

A book I read with my Love. I saw alot of my self in the main character, which probably explains why I ended up alone.

Euphoria, by F.S. Yousaf

A poetry book given to me by the same girl. It took me awhile to get to it, but it was a key waiting to unlock more of me. Here’s my poem inspired by it:

ñü∿Glory öF Her♡Youforia

Her wave, rushing
Into your abdomen &
Punching your stomach
Going through your guts
Before beginning to wrap
Around when running up
Your back - and then
It begins hugging
On your sore torso
Holding back, Sorrow
& tethering: Me~to~You
Whenever running, behind
Like I'm your caboose, and
Thus, I'm §till on track to
Our Love & The Truth - with
§erenity ∿ Whö sends Youth
Teasing tingles to tickle
Sisyphus' sore shoulders
-Numb- no longer ∿Now∿
Feeling ñü∿Glory öF
♪∿Her♡Youforia∿♪

  1. The title ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide’ reminds me of my late son’s HS project winner title ‘Escape from Khasden’. After his passing, I edited the manuscript without losing his bravado teenage genre and self-published it. Get a chance to go to Amazon, authors Dee Tezelli and check it out. His imagination and style is awesome.

    1. Thanks for the recommendation! I love watching young writers discover their self while developing their process, so this is a treat! Young minds are so strange. They still have that spark of creativity mixed with inexperience’s ingenuity which inspires personality so often lost in more polished pieces.

And my condolences. It’s sad to hear he’s late, but I’m happy you’ve given me the opportunity to meet him through his words. The beauty of writing is when you put your heart & soul into it, reading feels like a conversation.

He may be gone at this moment, but he’s still a part of this world. His presence can still be felt. That spark that made Murat uniquely Him lives on, lighting fires – inspiring new writers. So though he’s no longer holding the pen, he’ll never stop writing through the hearts of his readers who find a new friend living in between the lines he’s written.
