The Tragedy öF Lapis (#17) & Lazuli (#18) / Blue Savage Patch KiD§

Lapis & Lazuli

2 KID§ sharing 1 story

Which deserves a soundtrack

With Blues beats & mechanical motifs

Like grinding gears, now lubricated with tears

’til they tear out their tear ducts – what the fuck?

What can I say? Their story begins N Tragedy

As just a couple of Savage Patch KiD§

Abandoned at a poor orphanage

Is it from their Parents’ failed marriage?

Maybe they’re Late – N§ide öF Death’s carriage?

Whatever…doesn’t really matter – do Ü really care?

They’re stuck there -nowhere to go- no Love to share

Until that Fateful day – on a walk sometime N May

When they had prayed for a Hero, yet instead

Destiny’s destination brings them to Gero

The Madman with an Evil plan – Kidnap

The vulnerable, becoming valuable

Test subjects: genius plan since

“You can’t kidnap an Orphan

They were never wanted

N the first place” – kinda

Sad, though kinda true – at least

That’s how it feels to Me, like We view

Our Youths – “No child left behind” – my ass

They’re expendables – too much trouble? Just pass

The problem up the ladder instead öF teaching

Them how to climb it, then when they fall

They’re so high up, they die & ragdoll

Sorry – A tangent flew N’2 my Reality &

Took me wayyy off course ∿ from my story

About the Tragedy öF Lapis & Lazuli – twins

Whö just can’t seem to ever win, never a tailwind

Then let’s just restart again: do Ü REMember where?

Gero’s bent morals R about to begin his experiment

On a couple öF innocent KiD§ – calls them Android

#17 (Lapis) & #18 (Lazuli) and “He only numbers

His successful experiments” – how unsettling

Yet just more Proof Gero is Cruel, and how

These 2 really do embody the color Blue

However, Good News! Although not diamond

They’re still gems N the rough – thus, enough

Is enough – these KiD§ have had it far too rough

So, although I Am ending this tragedy prematurely

Know this: Ey3’ll make sure they get A Happy Ending

Moonwashed Weekly Prompt – Shades of blue

  1. Your writing is beyond brilliant, my friend. Your poetic tale of Lapis & Lazuli is realistic and relays a message of the dark side of life. Your poems via connected links are on my radar to read when I have the time to focus. Unique and superb take on the prompt.

    1. Thank you! What’s funny is I just happened to be writing this poem and didn’t see the prompt until after I finished. But when I saw the prompt, the timing felt like fate that I just happened to write about the color Blue
